RCMP Class Action Settlement Website

An historic settlement resolved two systemic harassment class actions brought against the RCMP by former female members. The settlement was approved by the Federal Court on May 30, 2017 and provided redress for claims of systemic discrimination, harassment, and bullying on the basis of gender and/or sexual orientation made in class actions filed by Linda Gillis Davidson and Janet Merlo.

The claims process under the settlement has now concluded, and the Assessor has released a report entitled “Broken Dreams Broken Lives: The Devastating Effects of Sexual Harassment on Women in the RCMP”. To read the report, please visit the Documents tab.
